Mother and daughter team; Valerie Jefferson (Mother and does admin) & Amy Low (daughter and the beautician) Nia’s Beauty Room by Amy, Dargaville

Amy and her Mum Val bought the client list and equipment from Amy’s boss to continue a beauty service. They sold an old caravan and, with determination and creativity, set up a beauty studio in Dargaville’s community hall with help from The Generator. Their success has allowed Amy to transition completely off WINZ support, with Val partially supported and transitioning off soon.
