Koha Tukuiho – Legacy in Action

In 2019, The Generator backed Jena Eyles, a māmā from Te Araroa, to launch Yummy Dumplings NZ. Her dream was to build a whānau-first pakihi and uplift her hapori.

Jena passed away while hapū with her fifth child — but her legacy lives on.

Her whānau, Ashley and John, found her dumpling kai cart for sale after COVID hit. With aroha, they received her famous recipes and launched Kings of the Coast, now an award-winning Generator pakihi.

Jena’s dreams are now theirs. Even in her absence, she continues to uplift her whānau and community.
